About me
Jemma studied English Literature and Theatre Studies at South Trafford College in Cheshire. After leaving she opted to take a year out before going to University. Like most students she wanted something that would ensure a good social life and money, so she hit upon the idea of modelling. That one-year out turned into 20!!
Jemma has worked as a catwalk model for clients such as Armani, Harvey Nichols and Cosmopolitan. Her photographic work has included Budweiser, Adidas and La Redoute. It was whilst working on commercials that Jemma decided she would like to try her hand at television presenting. In the past few years she has worked as a freelance presenter for the BBC, Granada and Channel M.
Her modelling background keeps her up-to-date with all the latest health and beauty lotions and potions, and this led to her becoming a Health & Beauty Expert on GMTV. Her other passion is fashion so when Jemma was asked to present ‘Style In The City’ for Channel M it was a dream come true. She then moved onto present ‘Channel M Today’, a live magazine style programme. The move from a style show meant that Grazia could no longer be her preferred read as she had to be up to speed on a wide range of subjects from news, health and entertainment.
Jemma’s spare time goes from one end of the spectrum to the other. She loves pampering herself and relaxing with a good book and a glass of wine but before she allows herself that luxury you will find her exercising at the gym. Jemma is the ultimate keep fit fanatic. She takes part in all the classes you can think of, ranging from Boxercise to Spinning. Her real love is running and she takes part in many races throughout the year.
